Vintage Design/Modern Function
By MODintelechy / Design
Last week I was invited to an incredible launch party at the hidden Palazzo Lavaca . It was aces all the way! The bee’s knees! This property, built in 1890 as Austin’s first firehouse, is now the most unique, romantic, and artistically designed entertainment venue in the ATX.
What is really amazing about this space is the use of old world charm with modern functionality. The period art, vintage pieces, and clustered art deco vignettes create an illusion of times gone by that masks the modern luxuries such as the up to date kitchen appliances & the big screen plasma screen in the living room.
Having an event at such a venue as Palazzo Lavaca provides an opportunity to creating lasting memories for you and you guests. Kudos to Monica Burcham & Jonathan Tieken for an event well planned; one which will leave amazing lasting impression on all of us!
