Dana Tanamachi: Chalk Lettering

When I saw these massive chalk lettered walls I swooned with complete envy. Anyone that does hand lettering knows how incredibly difficult it can be on paper, let alone with chalk. Graphic designer Dana Tanamachi’s detailed, 19th century style lettering is so up my alley I couldn’t help but share. There is something so lovely about the small quirks and flaws the letters have when done by hand. The imperfection makes it all the more special.

I think I know what my next DIY project will be, though I can only hope it will end up as half as beautiful.
