An Austin Essential: Jessica Ciarla

By / Design

Jessica Ciarla is an amazing Austin fashion designer, design consultant and local business owner. When Jessica was quoted in the February 2011 issue of Tribeza magazine, saying, ““My client is the Sex & The City Carrie Bradshaw bride,” she may have been referring to recent fashionista client, and MOD’s very own, Maria Orozova. Ciarla designed a Tear Drop dress with rhinestone trim for Maria’s wedding in 2010.

Having trained at the prestigious Parsons New School in New York and at the elite Polimoda International Institute of Design and Marketing in Italy, Jessica launched a high end evening wear line in 2005 and CIARLAbride in 2009.  Ciarla creates her unique collection of bridesmaid dresses to last longer than the affair.  The concept is to incorporate the bridal party color palette and allow each bridesmaid to choose silhouettes that flatter their figure, resulting in a gorgeous sweep of the bride’s chosen scheme and bridesmaids who are actually delighted to wear the dresses on the big day, and again afterward.

The MOD Studio is exceptionally pleased to have the brilliant mind of Jessica Ciarla as a client and friend. As great minds think alike, we hope we can inspire her creative process as much as she motivates ours.

Ciarla has been featured in Vogue Nippon, InStyle, Lucky and Time Out New York. She has also been featured on the cover of “Full Frontal Fashion,” a book accompanying the hit TV series of the same name.  And The New York Post voted Ciarla “One of The Best Designers You’ve Never Heard Of.”
