MOD Style: The #2 Pencil Skirt

From the office to a gala dinner, the pencil skirt is an elegant and sophisticated choice perfect for any occasion. Originally designed by Christan Dior in 1940, the pencil skirt became a hit in post-war fashion with celebrities like notorious pinup Betty Page.  Screen goddesses Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn were constantly seen wearing the hip hugging style and it became a staple in the classic wardrobe of Princess Grace.  Now, in 2012, the pencil skirt is back in mode.
