Crowdfunding Success Stories

By / Marketing

We’ve been thinking a lot about crowdfunding recently and what it takes to execute a successful campaign. Sites like Kickstarter are an amazing way to garner support and funding for a project that may otherwise not have found its footing via traditional methods. We decided to peruse some successful campaigns on Kickstarter to see what they all had in common. Check out our top three picks for the coolest projects that were all completely funded.
1. 3Doodler – The World’s First 3D Printing Pen

So this may just seem like a glorified hot glue gun but it did raise over $2 million in it’s short, 34 day funding period. Take that, Milky pens!
2. Home Aquaponics Kit: Self-Cleaning Fish Tank That Grows Food

We thought this was the perfect example of how one neat idea can come into fruition by simply getting it in front of people. This project was almost 250% funded and raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars. Additionally, we now want one for the office.

3. Dash Greek Yogurt Maker – Make Fresh Greek Yogurt at Home

It’s actually kind of shocking that no one thought of this before. These folks capitalized on the Greek yogurt craze and are reaping the benefits. They had a modest goal of $30,000 and surpassed it in less than a month. Yum!
