This & That: Decades Past

There’s something about sepia-tones that instantly sweeps me up into a vintage vision.  I just love that feeling, and it always inspires me to think differently, it opens my mind to possibilities. Today’s picks are all things that are iconic to me of the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s.  ’40s– patterned tiles in brilliant blues, ’50s–Audrey Hepburn’s classic style {especially in Roman Holiday} ’60s– Headbands are suddenly all the rage, the dramatic, cinematographic masterpiece Lawrence of Arabia {thus the autobiography, Seven Pillars of Wisdom, from the real-life T.E. Lawrence} and for advertising’s sake the innovative VW Bug ads. As a lover of words, these ads represent to me a copywriters dream.
